Intellectual Property

In light of rapid technological and artistic developments and the continuously evolving global environment, industrial, scientific, and literary intellectual property has gained significant importance and now occupies a central position in legal and commercial concerns. Accordingly, our office is committed to providing services that ensure legal protection in this field, including patents, industrial designs, copyrights, and the moral and economic rights of authors, both within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and internationally, in accordance with local laws that protect intellectual property. These include the Patents, Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits, Plant Varieties, and Industrial Designs Law, the Printing and Publishing Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/32) dated 03/09/1421H, and the Copyright Protection Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/21) dated 02/07/1424H. On the international level, this includes the Patent Law for the GCC States issued by Royal Decree No. (M/28) dated 10/06/1422H. Our office also provides legal consultations regarding unfair competition, harmful commercial practices, and internationally recognized measures such as anti-dumping, particularly in light of the Kingdom’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
